you will have to test your convincing power to the limits and beyond cause you are gonna have to sell your product so effectively that you yourself would buy it... we will give you and a couple of your friends a product and you will have a minute and half to prepare a PR campaign and three minutes to perform... easy enough??? not really... lol
Hint for the event: You will be judged on your creativity, spontaneity and your ability to co-ordinate with your team members.. so make sure that you pick your team wisely, so that your thinking matches theirs completely... also... make sure that you are quick witted, cause the funnier you are the better you will fare....

Whats your Mantra?
Well, we can all be proud of ourselves today since we have now graduated to the Public Relation Events.... the first PR event is called.... any guesses?? any guesses?? Whats your Mantra? ... no... i mean that the events name is: "Whats you Mantra?"...
This is a simple enough event with a complex and difficult solution... we will be giving you situations on the spot... they will be tough cases that you got to cover up and make nice... you and two of your team mates will be given a couple of minutes to prepare, and then three minutes to put your case forward to the press and make your party look goooooodddd.....
Hint for this event: This event will test your convincing power and your PR skills to the maximum... you will judged based on the manner you present, the matter that you add in your PR peice, the co-ordination between the team members and the spontaniety with which you are able to conduct yourselves... again, I have to tell you that you have to make sure that you add elements of Fantasy and Reality in your performance... if you do as i say, you will be a cinch to win... good luck and godspeed...

Dindora
The game is going to be loads of fun, but make sure that you have a LOUD voice so that you fit the character of a wandering ministrel... Let the fantasy of our pasts mingle with the reality of the present and create a winning performance...
Basically what is going to happen is: we will be giving you a news item to play with and all you have to do is go around and shout it out to the whole world to hear... you can be as creative as you want and give your bulletin as a song, poem, slogan, rap, or any other way.... you can have two other people in your team to help you form this bulletin and to spread the word... dont worry, you will have 30 minutes of prep time and then 5 to 15 minutes of showtime... Spread the message to one and all!!!!!
Hint for this event: This event is as straight forward as can be and so there is not much i can tell you in terms of loopholes or cheatcodes... i can tell you this... the better it sounds, the more attractive it is, the more marks it will fetch... you basically have to prepare a peice that is a crowd puller... so try, singing, dancing or acting for that matter... whatever you do, the message should be put accross...
so... that is all i have to say about this event... if you have anything to say, or have any questions or anything, then please just leave me a comment under my post and i will get back to you ASAP...
Till the next post...

Analyze This
Are you used to reading such reviews and thinking that you could have written better? Do you think that the critics are fools who mostly just cirticize everything and dont know a good movie when they see one?? Welll.. here's your chance to show them just what a film critic you can be...
This Journo Event is called Analyze This... the aim of the game is simple... you will get to watch one 20-30 minute short film and then will have to write a review on it of not more than 250 words... Simple enough right?? well its not as easy as it seems... rush down for registration!!!
This event is a really cool event for all those film buffs... If you think you have the calibre to be on "Chicks on Flicks" then you should definitely register for this event...
Hint for the Event: This event will be judged based on your critiquing power, style of writing and ability to weave your opinion on a particular peice. Be creative and yet tell the judges clearly how you feel about the movie. Remember... there is no right answer for this movie so even if you write a bad review, you could still win, as long as you give logical reasoning for your opinion.
Any questions??? If you do.. just leave me a comment under the post and i will get back to you ASAP....
As I say at the end of each post:
Till the next post...

Ground Zero
Well people, the first Journalism Event is going to be........ Ground Zero!!!! This event showcases your talent of reporting live from the scene... Can you keep a level head in the time of emergency??? Or are you more the type of person who keeps the audience's attention with rising and falling inflections of the voice??? Well, whatever type of person you are, you are welcome here to show everyone that you are the next Live Reporter of the century...
Ok... the rules are simple enough to understand... each team must have one anchor and one live reporter.... the teams will be given a scenario and sketchy details.. it is up to the participants to put together a news story... 10 minutes will be given for preparation and 5-10 minutes of performance time... The team can perform in either English, Hindi or Marathi... whichever language they are comfortable with, but this must be speicified at the time of registration...
Well thats all the rules they have... and also the usual stuff like "Foul language is prohibited" and "Semi formal to formal dress code"...
This event is simple enough and it has almost no complexities... But as a hint, I will tell you this:
Hint for the Event: In this event, the judges are going to focus on the reality aspect... You have basically got to show the judges just how realisically you can present your news... dont forget any of the nuances like listening for directions from the anchor or being alert and on your toes at all times....
Well thats all i can say for this event right now...
If you have any problems, just comment under this post and i will get back to you ASAP...
Till my next post....

Toss the Tale
Sorry... I was in just watching Telemall shopping so my head is still in the TV...
Ok... Toss the Tale is a cool Performing Arts Event that will have you squeezing out creativity by the pint... What you have to do is simple... you will be given some characters... all you have to do is create a story line, with an exciting plot and all that and present it to us...
You will have one hour to prepare and there can be 3-6 participants in a team... Your performance time can only be 3-5 minutes long...
Simple enough??? NOT so simple in reality...
anyways... I really want you to win, so here is the hint for this event:
Hint for the Event: The judges will be looking for a burst of creativity... you just have to make sure that you have both the elements of Fantasy and Reality incorporated in your script... Even if your actors are not too good at acting, you can bring in a comic or serious note to your story... Just make sure that your story is original....
Ok... As I always say... you can come to me with any problem... I'm here for you... just comment under my post and i will get back to you ASAP... and dont worry, once I finish all the events, I wont have anything to do, so I'll start off with another few rounds of hints and.. ahem.. cheats...

Laces N Cufflinks
Its a beautiful new day, and even better since I get to give you all something to look forward to everyday... (Cheats for Mosaic, of course )
So anyways... today's featured event is: (drumroll please)
Laces N Cufflinks !!!!! This event is again a Performiong Arts Event that is going to test your charming skills like never before.... This is no ordinary Personality Contest..... This is Laces N Cufflinks.... Basically all you have to do is go up on stage in all your finery and be charming and irrestible... You have to woo our judges and your audience by showing them why you have a Personality to die for...
Like every game, this one too has rules, so here they are:
There can be only two participants (one guy and one girl) from each college (so if you think you have got a smashing personality and a winning charm, then dont hesitate to put you case forward...) There will be NO on-the-spot Entries... (so dont lose any time on registering...)
Registration for this event will begin an hour before the event, ie, at 3pm and will end at 3.45...
Hint for the Event: Ok... like I have said for all the other events... keep in mind the theme of Mosaic this year... When you put yourselves across, try to use "Fantasy Meets Reality"... show the judges your Fantastic, but Real personality... thats what they're looking for...
Okie Dokie... so thats all I had to say about that... but if you want to ask me anything, then you know the drill... (just post a comment)

Step Up To Fuse..!!
Good News for all you stage buffs!!! We have reached the Performing Arts Events!!! AND, might I add, it is the First FLAGSHIP EVENT!!!!
Ok... The First PA event is Step Up To Fuse..!!
This is a really fun event that is going to test your dance skills like never before!!!
Ok... at the CL Meet, which, btw is on Monday, 14th of December, we will be giving you three dance forms...
Now your job is to fuse together any two dance forms of your choice...
Once you have done that, you got to choreograph and dance a peice using both the dance forms...
We are going to have some ecxiting judges and even more exciting prizes awaiting the best of the best, so work hard!!!
The rules of the game are that only one team per college is allowed with about 6 to 10 members in a team... Unfortunately, there will be no on-the-spot-entries allowed, so in case you want to join in, you are going to have to tell us soon...
The registration for this event will begin at 4pm sharp on the day of the event and no registration will be allowed after 4.45...
The time limit for your peice is upto 5-6 minutes.
Hint for the event: Ok guys... I really want to see you win, so I'm going to give you some hints on what the judge is looking for in your performance.. Number one: try and bring in both Fantasy and Reality into your dancing... that will go a long way with our judges... also, make sure that you know your dance forms well.. we dont want you to lose just because you did not put in the right moves... dont worry.. we wont be too hard on you...
Like I say at the end of every post... If you have any problems or anything at all, then just come straight to me... I would have given you my cell phone no., pager, fax and email id, but if I do then people might just recognize me... You see I'm not supposed to be giving you hints on how to win and people are starting to get suspicious around here... Rhapsody
brace yourselves... we have moved on to the second Ad Event... it is called... wait for it... wait for it... RHAPSODY!!!!... but you already know that from the title... oops... lol
Anyways... this event is a goody-goody, lovable one in which you have to make a two minute television commercial that will make a person's day so that they fill up with happiness and sing for the rest of the day... ok thats exaggerating a little... but it has to have a major feel good factor...
Well theres not much I can tell you about this event, except there can be a maximum of 4 participants in a team, and your ad has to be a max of two minutes... which again, you already know...
Well thats all from me about Rhapsody...
Hint for the Event: Think along the lines of "Kushiyonki Home Delivery" or "Open Happiness".. try to show us that you can effectively sell your product by making the customer feel good about the product...
Till my next post..

Makeshift
Good news!!! We have now progressed on to the Ad Events!!! Today's featured event is Makshift.
Makeshift is an event that is really going to test your grey matter... so I hope you have abundance of it... Ok.. There are two rounds to makeshift that are both wild and totally out of whack....
The first round (Revivacious) goes like this:
I've got one foot in the grave,
I need you to bring me back,
Change my look and appearance,
And put me back on track.
Undertake the challenge of Revivacious,
Take our future in your hands,
Reinvent us to our glory days,
When we were young and promising brands.
Ok... I hope you understood what the aim of the game is... if you didn't, then I'll just tell you about it... Your team of at the most 3 participants, will be given a failing brand, and you will have to create an advert that will put them back on the map...
The second round is called Periphery...
Now the aim of the game is literally to aim for the periphery of the target... you have to aim to sell your product to the people who need it the least... Work those brain cells into overdrive, cause your going to need them...
Hint for the event: Both these events are out of the ordinary, so thinking out of the box is essential... In the first round, try to make your brand look so good, that you yourself would buy the porduct (yeah right..) and in the second round, think in the lines of selling your product to the least likely customers... For example: try selling a scooter to Mukesh Ambani... or a full length dress to Mallika Sherawat... or a fur coat to a PETA activist...
Ok... like I say everytime... if you have any questions... any at all, just come to me... (i feel like Agony Aunt Bachi Karkaria)... leave me a comment at the end of my latest post and I will make sure I get back to you....
Till my next post...

Sach Ka Samna
Wassup everybody!!!!
Ok... today's featured event is the second Film Event called Sach Ka Samna.... oooo.....
Ok... Sach Ka Samna is an event that has been created speacially for all those tell-all type of directors who believe in showing the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help them God...
If you think that you can portray reality, no matter how stark, on the screen, then give us your ten-minute short films on any REAL topic, and wow us with your conviction to show the truth..
So you know bout the event... Now I'll tell you the rules so that you can start thinking about your movie from right this instant... The rules are:
- The short film must not exceed the 10 minute barrier and it had to be based on a reality of the world...
- In this event, you CAN use all sorts of visual effects and imagery... so have a good time during the post production to bring us the most realistic film in the competition...
- Documentaries and films are both welcome for this event, but we wont judge them separately... sorry...
- There may be eliminations...
- The film must be represented by at least one person from the institution, or otherwise the film will be void...
So these are the rules and if your still not sure about whether or not you should register yourselves, fear not! On-the-spot registration is allowed!!!
Hint for this event: Try thinking along the lines of portraying one of the harsh realities that dog the Indian society like female infantacide and foetucide or rape, prostitution, etc. The more reality you portray, the more marks we will give you.
Ok... now that everything is done, let me just add that if you have any questions or suggestions or comments about this event or any other for that matter, just leave me a comment at the end of my latest blog post and I'll be sure to get back to you...
Till the next post...

So... today's featured event is a Film Event. Fantas(y)tic Film! is a really cool event that will get your creative juices flowing right from the word go...
What you have to do is portray a fantasy in the reel world... that is, you have to produce a fantasy-fiction that shows us just how creative you can be!! ... Just one more thing... you have to do all this without using any special effects... so be creative guys...
There are, of course some rules and regulations that have to be followed since it is a competition.

So those are the rules... just in case you cant make up your mind right now, about whether to join or not... good news!!! On-the-spot enteries are allowed!!!
So get your cameras ready and get to shooting your fantastic film!!!
Hint for the event: Try thinking along the lines of some superhero who is super, even without his superpowers... make it something that will WOW the judges, without making it seem like it is a total cliche...
Ok... so that was today's event.... If you have any questions, leave me a comment or mail me... I will get back to you asap...
